Michigan President Santa Ono put out a statement after some players that were involved in the fight in the Michigan Stadium tunnel had charges filed against them.

Ono shared how much the university appreciated that approach that the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office took when handling the investigation.

Like Michigan State’s Interim President Teresa K. Woodroof, Ono stated that Michigan is also committed to helping with any additional investigative reviews.

“At the University of Michigan we appreciate the thoughtful, deliberate approach from the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office to this unfortunate incident. We also want to express our concern for all the players involved, especially those who were injured. The University of Michigan will continue to cooperate fully with any additional reviews of this matter.”

Seven Michigan State players had charges filed against them on Wednesday, including DB Khary Crump and LB Jacoby Windmon. Tradition will continue posting updates on the situation as more and more information comes out.
