There were a lot of special moments in Saturday’s Michigan victory over Iowa, 42-3, leading to plenty of awesome moments.

One of those moments was when Fox Sports announcer Gus Johnson gave a huge hug to Michigan starting quarterback Cade McNamara. There wasn’t much context behind the embrace, but it was really cool to see:

Johnson, who is known and praised for bringing excitement to games, gave McNamara a bear hug. Johnson has been known to do this in the past, to congratulate the winners of the Big Ten after the game.

McNamara didn’t throw for a lot on Saturday, but he didn’t have to. The Michigan defense stuffed the Iowa Hawkeyes offense all evening, which played a huge part in their victory.

The quarterback ended the game completing 16-of-24 passes for 169 yards with a touchdown.
