Christian Turner will not finish his college career with the Wolverines.

The junior running back announced Saturday that he is going to enter his name into the transfer portal and intends to transfer. Turner did make it clear that he was thankful for his time at Michigan and the players and staff he worked with.

“I am thankful to all the coaches and staff at this university who have poured into me over these last couple of years,” Turner wrote in a letter on Twitter.

Turner initially opted out of the 2020 season but returned when the B1G reinstated the season. However, he did not register a carry on offense.

As a sophomore in 2019, Turner rushed for 171 yards and a touchdown. Hassan Haskins was the leading rusher for Michigan in 2020 with 375 yards and six touchdowns.

The former three-star recruit is out of Buford, Georgia and was a member of the 2018 recruiting class.
