Apparently Erik Swenson was not alone.

The Michigan offensive lineman recruit decommitted last week after he said he had his offer pulled from the program two weeks before National Signing Day.

Another Michigan recruit got a similar short end of the stick.

Three-star defensive lineman Rashad Weaver announced his decommitment from Michigan on Twitter, in which he said that there was a 50-50 shot whether or not the team would have a spot for him on National Signing Day.

Unlike Swenson’s story, he at least had contact with Jim Harbaugh.

Weaver wasn’t nearly as highly recruited as most of Michigan’s 2016 class. According to 247sports, he’s the 91st-ranked defensive tackle in the 2016 class.

Even though Weaver is not the first recruit to get that message, it’s unfortunate to see it happen so close to National Signing Day. The Fort Lauderdale native has only visited Dartmouth and Temple, but he has offers from Illinois and Syracuse.

With National Signing Day just over a week away, hopefully this trend doesn’t continue at Michigan or anywhere in college football.

Unfortunately, as Weaver said, it’s all business.
