Warren has beaten out Alex Orji for the starting job, but expect Orji to see significant time alongside Warren Saturday night. Warren, a senior, has played sparingly for the Wolverines across his career, sitting at 5-14 for 89 yards and an interception behind former Michigan standout J.J. McCarthy.
Speaking of McCarthy, he’s one of several players that will not be returning for the Wolverines this season – especially on the defensive end of the ball. Michigan also lost HC Jim Harbaugh to the Los Angeles Chargers.
But the defending national champs have still put a strong roster together on paper. Now, it’s time to see if Warren can lead a dynamic rushing offense to a win over the Bulldogs.
