Michigan took care of its business. Unfortunately, for the Wolverines, it couldn’t get the help they needed from Ohio State.

But that wasn’t reflected in the latest Associated Press poll.

The Wolverines did continue their rise after getting a solid 28-16 road win against Penn State on Saturday. Michigan earned the No. 12-spot in the latest AP poll, which was again fourth among B1G teams.

Iowa and Michigan State both solidified their spots among the nation’s best and came in at No. 3 and No. 6, respectively. Ohio State dropped to No. 8, marking its lowest AP ranking since November 2014.

Northwestern squeaked out a 13-7 win against Wisconsin in Madison, which moved the Wildcats up to No. 17. As a result, Wisconsin was moved out of the top 25.

The Wolverines will have a chance to pick up their first top-10 win of the Jim Harbaugh era in his first battle against Ohio State on Saturday.
