Since Michigan’s 42-27 win over Ohio State last Saturday, the program has secured verbal commitments from 3 different players. The latest, and 2nd of the day, came late Wednesday night when 2023 wideout Semaj Morgan announced his intention to play his college ball in Ann Arbor.

Morgan took time to thank a number of people in his life for helping get him to this stage before writing, “I’m starting a new chapter in my life and it’s going to be bigger and better than ever. The West Bloomfield native is staying home.

A 5-foot-10, 175-pound wideout, Morgan had offers from Missouri, Ole Miss, and West Virginia, among others. He’s a 3-star prospect and the 5th-ranked player in the state of Michigan for the 2023 cycle. He’s rated as the 336th prospect overall in his class and the No. 44 wideout.

During his junior season, Morgan had 61 catches for 1,015 yards and 13 scores, adding another touchdown as the team’s kickoff return man. Morgan’s highlight tape cites the wideout has recorded a 4.03 shuttle time, a 4.5 40, and a 36-inch vertical.
