Michigan has had 3 players this week enter the transfer portal, and the latest is Damani Dent, a former 3-star defensive back who didn’t see any action last season.

Dent followed fellow 2022 recruiting class linebacker Deuce Spurlock, who entered the portal in the winter, and ultimately transferred to Florida.

Dent is from Jacksonville, Florida, and in high school, he led his team with 63 tackles (46 solo), with 4 interceptions among 8 passes defended and 2 interceptions returned for touchdowns. A 2-way player, Dent caught 7 passes for 113 yards with a touchdown.

Dent’s departure leaves the Wolverines defensive secondary depth chart with Rod Moore and Makari Paige expected to start, alongside nickel Mike Sainristil. Backups include Quinten Johnson and Caden Kolesar along with Zeke Berry and Keon Sabb.
