Michigan softball is moving on at the B1G Tournament after blanking Maryland by a final score of 7-0 Thursday evening.
Entering the tournament while riding a five-game winning streak, the Wolverines kept the bats alive early against the Terrapins. After pushing 2 runs across in the first inning, it was a big third inning that provided the big blow.
Kristina Burkhardt got the inning rolling with a triple into the left-centerfield gap, her 7th triple of the season. She scored quickly on an RBI groundout.

It appeared Maryland might get out of the inning after that. The Terrapins pushed the Wolverines down to their final strike of the inning with a runner on second base but could not finish the deal.
Taylor Bump delivered with a big home run out of left field, her 5th of the season. That blast made it 5-0.

Michigan kept the inning rolling even longer and punctuated the frame with another triple. This time, it was a 2-run triple by Annabelle Widra to make it 7-0, Wolverines.
