Michigan star Hunter Dickinson describes unlikely friendship with Ohio State's E.J. Liddell
Hunter Dickinson is perhaps the most candid athlete across all of B1G athletics. The Michigan basketball star already had some strong words for Illinois fans. Now, the center is chiming in about his evolving friendship with a rival.
During B1G media day on Thursday, Dickinson described how an unlikely friendship began with Ohio State power forward E.J. Liddell.
Prior to spending time together this summer at the G League Combine, Dickinson wasn’t particularly fond of Liddell.
I asked Michigan’s Hunter Dickinson about E.J. Liddell, he said the two became friends during the G League Combine this summer.

The newfound friends will square off on Feb. 12 at Michigan and March 6 at Ohio State.
The 7-foot-1, 255-pound Dickinson averaged 14.1 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks en route to earning First-team All-B1G and B1G Freshman of the Year honors last season. Last season, Liddell averaged 16.2 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks to earn First-team All-B1G by the coaches.
