Michigan tight end Ramsey Baty will look for opportunities outside of Ann Arbor to continue his college football career.

247Sports reported on Monday that Baty, who walked on at Michigan in 2018, has entered his name in the NCAA transfer portal. The 6-foot-5, 225-pound tight end just completed his second season with the Wolverines in 2019.

Baty did not appear in any contests during his first two years with the program. Last year, he was named the Offensive Cout Player of the Week in the week leading up to Michigan’s 38-7 victory over Maryland on Nov. 2.

The Wolverines ended the 2019 season with a 9-4 record.

Baty is a native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and was a member of the 2018 recruiting class. He held offers from Cornell and Valparaiso, while also receiving walk-on opportunities at Miami (FL) and Michigan.
