Sean McKeon understands Alabama is one of the premier programs in college football, not just this season, but this entire decade. That doesn’t mean he’s afraid of Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide.

Michigan is in Orlando preparing for its Citrus Bowl matchup with Alabama. This week, McKeon met with reporters to talk about the opportunity to play one of the most dominant programs in college football over the last 10 years.

As much respect as Alabama has earned, McKeon says it’s not a team that’s unbeatable.

“They’re not an NFL team,” McKeon told reporters. “They can be beat, just like any other team. Just because they’re Alabama doesn’t mean we can’t compete and beat them. They’ve lost twice already this year, so [we] just need to play our best football and get the job done.”

Alabama finished the season 10-2, with losses to LSU and Auburn. This is the first year of the College Football Playoff era in which the Crimson Tide didn’t earn one of the four spots in the field.

Michigan ended the 2019 campaign with a 9-3 record, and is searching for its fourth 10-win season in five years under Jim Harbaugh.
