Naz Hillmon has set a new Michigan record.

On Thursday, Hillmon had the performance of a lifetime, scoring 50 points in Michigan’s game against Ohio State. Unfortunately, Hillmon’s effort was not enough as the Buckeyes pulled out an 81-77 victory over the Wolverines.

Hillmon’s 50-point afternoon was not only a program record for the women’s basketball team at Michigan, it was also the record for any basketball player (men’s or women’s) in the school’s history. She got the 50 points while knocking down 20-of-30 shots from the floor.

She also grabbed 16 rebounds while playing 38 minutes in the game. The 50-point total was also a career high for Hillmon, who’s previous high was 35. It’s the most points by a Division I player during the 2020-21 season.

Below are the highlights from Hillmon’s impressive outing:

Michigan’s four-point loss to Ohio State was its first of the season. The Wolverines are now 10-1 on the year with a 5-1 mark in B1G play. The Buckeyes are 8-1 overall with a 4-1 record in the conference.
