Michigan’s wide receiver room is taking a hit.

On Monday morning, Angelique Chengelis of The Detroit News reported that Giles Jackson, a former 4-star recruit, has entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal. The news comes after the start of Michigan’s spring practice. Jackson could still return to Ann Arbor if that’s his best option.

Jackson, a native of Oakley, California, has spent the last two seasons with the Wolverines in Ann Arbor. He was a 4-star member of the 2019 recruiting class, ranking as the No. 41 wide receiver and No. 303 player overall in the cycle.

Jackson was Michigan’s third-leading receiver with 167 yards on 15 catches in 2020. The Wolverines finished with a 2-4 record.
