Black played in just three games for the Wolverines in 2017, catching 11 passes for 149 yards and a touchdown. He suffered a season-ending injury to his left foot last fall.
Heading into the season, Black was expected to be one of the best receivers on Michigan’s and potentially one of the top in the B1G.
Michigan opens the season on Saturday as it travels to South Bend to battle Notre Dame. It’ll be the first meeting between the two programs since 2014.
