Michigan’s 5-star duo from the vaunted 2021 recruiting class is off to the NBA after just one season in Ann Arbor.

Early on Wednesday, it was revealed that forward Moussa Diabate has decided to remain in the NBA Draft. Diabate was the No. 17 prospect in the country for the class of 2021.

Joining Diabate in the draft will be Caleb Houstan with Michigan confirming Houstan’s departure in an announcement Wednesday evening. Houstan was the No. 11 prospect nationally for 2021.

Houstan was 1 of 4 Wolverines to average double figures in the 2021-22 season and averaged 10.1 points, 4 rebounds and 1.4 assists. He was also a key from deep, shooting 36% from 3-point range.

Houstan – along with Eli Brooks – started all 34 games for Michigan last season while Diabate appeared in 32 games with 26 starts. Replacing their production will be key in 2022-23 for a team coming off a Sweet 16 appearance.
