Michigan linebacker Devin Bush is one of the five college football players named a finalist for the Butkus Award, presented to the nation’s top linebacker.

On Monday, a list of five finalists was released and Bush was the lone representative from the B1G. A winner will be announced on Dec. 6, according to a release.

This will be the 34th year that the award has been presented. Last year’s winner was Georgia’s Roquan Smith. Here’s the list of five finalists:

  • Devin Bush, Michigan
  • Josh Allen, Kentucky
  • Tre Lamar, Clemson
  • Dylan Moses, Alabama
  • Devin White, LSU

Bush has been an anchor for the Michigan defense this season. He’s the team leader in tackles, registering 72 stops on the year. He’s also recorded 9.5 tackles for loss and five sacks in 11 games for the Wolverines.

The linebacker is coming off one of the best outings of his career, tallying a season high 11 stops with 1.5 tackles for loss against Indiana.
