Michigan's director of player personnel reportedly leaving for Washington
New head coach Kalen DeBoer and the Washington Huskies are looking to hire Jim Harbaugh’s Director of Player Personnel from Michigan.
Courtney Morgan is leaving UM to take the same position at Washington, according to multiple reports. Dave Mahler of 950 JKR in Seattle was first to report the news. Morgan will start in his role with the Huskies immediately, according to The Detroit News.
Morgan joined his alma mater as the Director of Player Personnel in April of 2021. Morgan was an offensive lineman for Michigan from 1999 to 2003. He also worked under new head coach Kalen DeBoer while at Fresno State in 2020.
The loss of Morgan is certainly a blow to Michigan’s recruiting department, a staff that was overhauled last offseason. His efforts helped the Wolverines to land some big-time recruits for their class of 2022. Michigan currently has the 3rd-best class in the B1G and 14th-best class nationally, according to the 247Sports Composite.
DeBoer is hoping he can do the same for Washington.
