Mike Morris is making sure that the B1G Defensive Lineman of the Year Award is staying at Michigan for another season. Morris brought home the award on Tuesday as the second straight Michigan player to win it.

Before Morris, Aidan Hutchinson won the award last season. Morris capped off the regular season with 11 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, and 21 total tackles. This goes to show how deep Michigan is on the defensive side of the ball.

Hutchinson now plays for the Detroit Lions. Hutchinson had 62 total tackles, 14 sacks, and 16.5 tackles for loss in his final year with Michigan.

Morris has been a leader on a solid defense for Michigan this season. The Wolverines have allowed 12.7 points and 262.2 total offensive yards per game this season. Michigan ranks top 5 in the B1G for both of those stats.

Morris and Michigan will be facing Purdue in the B1G Championship on Dec. 3 next. That game kicks off from Indianapolis at 8 p.m. ET on FOX.
