Mike Morris is ready for the Fiesta Bowl. The 6-foot-6 pass rusher recently made some comments regarding a leg injury he had suffered against Nebraska back in November.

Morris’ health is key as Michigan prepares to battle Max Duggan and TCU in the Fiesta Bowl. The Horned Frogs are 13-1 behind a slew of dramatic victories this season.

“I’m not going to lie – I thought my leg was broken,” the Michigan senior said per On3.com. “I thought my ankle was broken. That’s why I reacted that way. And then I looked at it and it was straight, and…I moved my toes a little bit, and then I’m fine. I’m good. That’s when I stood up.”

Morris is one of Michigan’s most important players with a team-best 7 sacks. He also is a key vocal leader for the 13-0 Wolverines. Michigan is looking to secure its spot in the College Football Playoff National Championship game with a victory.

“I’m like 95 percent. I’m feeling good,” said Morris. “A lot of rehab. I’ve been in the training room 6 a.m., 8 a.m., me and Steve Smith (the trainer) have been in there long days. Been with him a little too much. But I’m feeling great.”

We’ll see if Morris can make an impact, but it’s certainly a good sign that he’s close to 100% for the game.
