Devin Bush Sr. is leaving Ann Arbor after four seasons on Jim Harbaugh’s staff.

Ole Miss announced on Friday that Bush will be joining Lane Kiffin in Oxford. He will be the program’s director of recruiting, according to a release from the university. Bush was previously a defensive analyst at Michigan from 2016-19.

Bush is the father of former Michigan star linebacker Devin Bush Jr., who left the Wolverines for the NFL Draft following the 2018 season. The 2019 season was the first year the elder Bush was on the staff without his son on the roster.

Kiffin had already plucked Harbaugh’s Michigan staff for one assistant, getting Chris Partridge to join the staff at Ole Miss. The Rebels also hired former Michigan defensive coordinator and Maryland head coach DJ Durkin during the offseason.

Ole Miss finished the 2019 season with a 4-8 record. This will be the first season under new head coach Lane Kiffin.
