Paul Finebaum: Jim Harbaugh as an elite coach "is a total fraud and charade"
Appearing on ESPN’s “First Take,” Paul Finebaum took another shot at Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh on Wednesday.
Addressing the notion that Harbaugh is a “total fraud and charade” of an elite coach, Finebaum also took aim at the coach’s lack of willingness to change.
“I don’t see what he is going to be able to do to beat a really good team. He might beat some of the average teams on the schedule, but how is he going to beat a Notre Dame, or win at Penn State or beat Ohio State? I’ve seen no imagination. I’ve seen regression in this program. I’ve seen stubbornness.
“He no longer has that ability. I am going to quit trying to prop him up because he was once good. He is no longer elite.”

Far from the first time Harbaugh and Finebaum have exchanged words, the host of “The Paul Finebaum Show” sent out a “congratulatory” Tweet following Michigan’s loss in Madison on September 21:
Congratulations to Jim Harbaugh and Michigan. Things are looking up. The 21-point loss today to Wisconsin was a slight improvement over the 23-point loss to Ohio State in the last Big Ten outing. Might be time to extend Harbaugh’s contract.

Dating back to last season, Harbaugh’s Wolverines have lost three of their last five games with all three losses coming by at least 21-points.
Looking to right the ship, Michigan (2-1) hosts Rutgers (1-2) on Saturday (12:00PM ET, BTN).
