Everyone was showing up to the protest organized by the parents of Michigan football players on Saturday.
Michigan was scheduled to be kicking off the 2020 fall football schedule on Saturday, first against Washington in Seattle under the original schedule, and then at home against Purdue on the revised, conference-only slate. But with the B1G canceling the football season, the Wolverines were left with an open date.
So, parents decided to still utilize Michigan Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Parents wanted all frustrated by the decision from the B1G to show up in Ann Arbor outside the stadium and protest the conference’s postponement.
Not only did parents and fans show up, but players and head coach Jim Harbaugh also showed their support for the protest.
During the entire offseason, Harbaugh and players were vocal about wanting to play this fall. But on Aug. 11, the B1G decided to postpone the college football season and attempt to try again in the spring.
