Thursday night was the season opener for Ohio State, and a lot of eyeballs around the B1G and around the country were tuned in.

The showdown between Ohio State and Minnesota had plenty of fireworks and some back-and-forth scoring for much of the game. Headed into halftime, the Gophers carried a 14-10 lead with Buckeyes quarterback C.J. Stroud looking a bit inconsistent early on.

After the break, it was a completely different story. Ohio State and head coach Ryan Day turned things around, thanks in large part to the play of Stroud. He threw for 4 touchdowns after the break as the Buckeyes rolled to a 45-31 victory in the first game of the season.

Despite the win, one person who was not impressed by Ohio State’s opening performance was Hunter Dickinson, star center for Michigan’s men’s basketball team. He took to Twitter with his own bold prediction for this season, calling a win for the Wolverines in The Game:

Considering Michigan’s track record against the Buckeyes – and how Ohio State turned things on in the second half – this is a bold claim indeed.
