Hassan Haskins might be the strongest running back in the 2022 NFL Draft. He put together and impressive performance on the bench press during the NFL Combine.

The former Michigan ball carrier threw up 27 reps on the 225-pound bench press — a great total for a running back. A video of Haskins’ impressive performance on the bench was posted to Twitter on Friday:

Haskins will not be participating in the 40-yard dash during the NFL Combine because of a lingering ankle injury. But what he did on the bench press might turn some heads for scouts.

Last season, Haskins was the leader of Michigan’s B1G-best rushing attack. He racked up 1,327 yards and 20 touchdowns on 270 carries for the Wolverines. He also caught 18 passes for 131 yards during Michigan’s B1G title run.

Haskins was a true threat out of the backfield during his year career in Ann Arbor.  The running back was responsible for 2,324 yards and 30 touchdowns on the ground over the past 3 seasons.

Thanks to contributions from Haskins and Blake Corum, Michigan led the B1G with an average of 214.4 yards per game on the ground. The Wolverines also scored a league-best 39 touchdowns on the ground.
