Pro Football Hall of Fame: Charles Woodson’s enshrinement speech, bust revealed Sunday night

Another Michigan legend has officially been enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Sunday night, Super Bowl champion, 9-time Pro Bowler and former NFL Defensive Player of the Year Charles Woodson was enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame following an incredible career. The former Oakland Raider and Green Bay Packer gave his speech Sunday night.

Woodson’s bust for enshrinement was also revealed on Sunday. Below are some of the clips from his speech:

Woodson was the No. 4 pick of the 1998 NFL Draft, selected by the Raiders. He spent the first eight years of his career with the franchise before playing the next seven years (2006-12) with the Packers.

In 2013, Woodson returned to Oakland for three more seasons to complete his NFL career.

Over the course of his 18-year career in the NFL, Woodson tallied 1,105 tackles, 155 pass break-ups, 65 interceptions, 33 forced fumbles, 20 sacks and 13 defensive touchdowns. He was named to the Pro Bowl 9 times, was a 4-time first-team All-Pro and was the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2009.

Woodson was a member of Green Bay’s Super Bowl XLV winning squad.

Prior to his incredible career in the NFL, Woodson was a star at Michigan. He was the 1997 Heisman Trophy winner and named the B1G Player of the Year.
