Juwan Howard and his wife, Jenine, got the opportunity to enjoy a special moment on Sunday night. It wasn’t just that Michigan defeated Florida State to advance to the Elite Eight, putting the Wolverines one victory away from the Final Four, either.
Late in the Sweet 16 game, Jace Howard, Juwan and Jenine’s son, was able to get on the floor as Michigan had iced the win against Florida State. And he took advantage of the opportunity, getting a bucket and drawing a foul for an old fashioned 3-point play.
It was Jace’s first basket of the NCAA Tournament.
Monday morning, Jenine posted a video of moment. Needless to say, she had an incredible reaction to her son’s first points of March Madness:
Nuts 🥜 I went absolutely NUTS Lol

Regardless of how far Michigan goes, this might be Juwan and Jenine’s favorite moment from March Madness.
Jace is a freshman for the Wolverines this season and has played in 11 games. He’s logged 12 points and 4 rebounds in 34 total minutes of action during the 2020-21 season. His 3 points against Florida State tied his season high.
Michigan will take on UCLA on Tuesday night with a trip to the Final Four on the line.
