Report: 2 Michigan linemen traveling to Iowa for B1G Championship rematch
Two Michigan linemen in Karson Barnhart and Trevor Keegan made the trip to Iowa for the B1G Championship rematch, according to The Detroit News’ Angelique Chengelis.
It is still unclear whether or not they will play, but any help will be needed against an Iowa defense that has given up just 23 points. Blake Corum needs to get going early and often to open up the passing game for J.J. McCarthy.
The Wolverines are off to a dominant 4-0 start and were tested last week against Maryland. The offense has been off to a fast start on the heels of Corum and McCarthy, but gave up 2 sacks and 7 tackles for loss, so Barnhart and Keegan would be a great help if made available.
Barnhart has been dealing with an ankle injury this season while Keegan has an undisclosed upper-body injury. The Wolverines are heading into a hostile atmosphere at Kinnick Stadium.
The game kicks off on FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff.
I’m told Donovan Edwards is playing today and Keegan and Barnhart made the trip
