First, John Harbaugh poached defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald away from his brother, Jim, and Michigan. Now, a second staffer is leaving Ann Arbor for a job with the Baltimore Ravens.

Matt Zenitz of On 3 is reporting that Michigan analyst Ryan Osborn is heading to the NFL. Though he was not an on-field assistant with the Wolverines during the 2021 season, Osborn worked with the defensive line.

Prior to his stop at Michigan, Osborn also worked at Florida, Mississippi State and UT-Martin.

Macdonald agreed to take the defensive coordinator job at Baltimore after just one season in the position at Michigan. Prior to his arrival in Ann Arbor, Macdonald worked on John Harbaugh’s Ravens staff.

In addition to Osborne and Macdonald, Jim Harbaugh has also lost defensive line coach Shaun Nua, who took the same position at USC. Michigan hired Notre Dame’s Mike Elston, a former Wolverine, to be the next defensive line coach in Ann Arbor.
