Report: Former Michigan DB Jourdan Lewis faced domestic violence accusation in the past
Jourdan Lewis is waiting for his trial date in July on a domestic violence charge that occurred in March. While the former Michigan standout was still selected in the NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys despite the pending court appearance, there are reports that this isn’t the first time Lewis has faced this type of charge.
According to the Dallas Morning News, the same woman accusing Lewis of domestic violence in this case also made a call to authorities in May 2015, claiming that the two had been involved in a physical altercation.
In the March incident, Lewis is accused of dragging his girlfriend across the floor and grabbing her by the neck. According to reports, the woman claimed Lewis pushed her into a closet door with both hands and grabbed and pulled her, causing her to fall.
Lewis has maintained his innocence throughout the most recent accusation. His trial is set to begin on July 24.
