Report: Jon Runyan Jr. out for season opener against MTSU
It looks like Michigan will be without one offensive lineman against Middle Tennessee State Saturday.
Jon Runyan Jr. was not in the starting lineup for the Wolverines in the season opener. In his place was Ryan Hayes at left tackle.
Those curious about the reason found out soon after kick-off with a report by Dan Dierdorf on Michigan’s radio broadcast. According to Dierdorf, Runyan will not play at all in the opener due to injury.
It is a blow to the Wolverines, but the good news is that Dierdorf claimed the injury is not serious. Hopefully, it is a short absence for Runyan.
Dierdorf says on radio Runyan won't play at all tonight and said does not believe it's a major injury.
