What better defenses are in college football than Michigan?

None, if any. The Wolverines smothered practically every offense they faced this season, and part of the reason why is defensive coordinator Don Brown. Brown, 63, knows what he’s doing.

He’s been a head coach before and he certainly knows the defensive side of the ball. He’s seen it all.

What he hasn’t experienced, however, is a head coaching job within the last 10 years. Brown coached at UMass from 2004-08.

On Wednesday, it was reported from Philly.com’s Marc Narducci that Brown interviewed for the head coaching job at Temple.

The report stated: “Another person who interviewed, according to a different source was Don Brown, the Michigan defensive coordinator.”

Temple competes in the American Athletic Conference. The job, for Brown, could be a step up depending on how you look at it.

Brown has been with Michigan since 2016.
