Another Michigan skill position player has entered the NCAA transfer portal.

247Sports is reporting that running back Gaige Garcia has decided to explore his opportunities outside of Ann Arbor. The 5-foot-10, 2015-pound native of Catawissa, Pennsylvania makes the decision after the Wolverines completed spring practice.

Garcia was a member of the 2020 recruiting class and it did not see any game action in his lone season at Michigan. He was a 3-star member of the cycle and was ranked as one of the Top 30 players from Pennsylvania in the class.

Garcia decided to walk-on at Michigan, picking the Wolverines over offers from several programs, most of which competed at the FCS level. In the FBS ranks, Garcia had interest from Air Force, Army and Navy. Nearly two dozen FBS programs showed interest, including Youngstown State, Yale, Harvard, Richmond, Monmouth, Bryant, Brown and Albany.

Michigan has seen multiple skill position players enter the portal since the conclusion of last season. Quarterback Joe Milton, running back Zach Charbonnet and wide receiver Giles Jackson are some of the notable players to leave the program.
