Jim Harbaugh has repeatedly stated that he has absolutely no intention of leaving Michigan anytime soon, but that’s not stopping one NFL team from making a push.

According to Pro Football Talk, the New York Jets are planning to make a run at Harbaugh at the end of the season. The report also claims that the Jets plan to make him a very lucrative offer, one that exceeds the $7 million he earns at Michigan yearly.

Rumors about Harbaugh returning to the NFL circulate every year around this time, but he has repeatedly denied any truth to the speculation. In an interview with ESPN earlier this month Harbaugh said he’s “not going anywhere.”

“I’m on record right here, right now: I’m not going anywhere,” Harbaugh told ESPN in early December. “I’m staying at Michigan. We have big plans here, and there’s a lot we want to accomplish.”

In four seasons in Ann Arbor, Harbaugh has a 38-13 record and has won 10 games in three of those years. In 2018, the Wolverines finished the year 10-2, earning a bid in the Peach Bowl. They’ll take on Florida on Dec. 29.

Harbaugh has made it clear he has no intention of leaving Ann Arbor. That’s still not enough to keep NFL suitors from making a pitch, apparently.
