RJ Moten refutes idea Michigan will employ a 'no-star defense' in 2022
RJ Moten doesn’t care if Michigan is replacing some star talent from 2021. He still thinks the Wolverine defense is loaded entering 2022.
That group was led by Heisman finalist Aidan Hutchinson, fellow Edge star David Ojabo, Dax Hill and Josh Ross, all of which are now off to the NFL. Needless to say, that is some elite production missing for Michigan.
Already, head coach Jim Harbaugh has labeled Michigan’s defense as “no star” for 2022. Even though Harbaugh expects that unit to be strong, Moten doesn’t not ascribe to the idea that there aren’t any stars.
On Friday, Moten said he believes every player on the defense is a star. He also claimed the Wolverines “will be the best defense in the nation” for 2022.
Certainly a high goal to try and pull off.
Michigan safety RJ Moten on if the team is a ‘no-star’ defense:
“We’re all stars. Yes sir. Every person that will play this year is a star. I don’t care what the critics say, I don’t care what anybody else says. We will be the best defense in the nation.”
