Ronnie Bell suffered a season-ending ACL injury on a punt return last season in the 1st game against Western Michigan. He was asked if he’s still going to have that role on the team per Alejandro Zúñiga of 247Sports.

Bell has appeared in 33 career games, with 17 starts at WR. Bell didn’t say a lot in his answer when asked if he was still going to return punts this season, but he did guarantee one thing.

His longest reception in his career with the Wolverines was also in that Western Michigan game, and was a long play of 76 yards. His career high for yards receiving was 758 back in 2019, and he should be a solid option for whoever is throwing him the ball this time around. .

Bell will also be taking on a new role with Michigan this season. He was voted as 1 of the 5 team captains for the 2022 season. Bell joins Erick All Jr., Mike Sainristil, Cade McNamara, and Mazi Smith as leaders on the team.
