Ronnie Bell appeared primed for a big season heading into 2021. That never developed with Bell going down with a season-ending injury in a Week 1 game against Western Michigan.

Now healthy, Bell is hoping to materialize that season in 2022, and he’s off to a solid start. Though he was not heavily utilized in the blowout win over Colorado State (1 catch for 9 yards), Bell has found the end zone in Week 2.

Bell has 4 catches for 61 yards throughout the first half while working in tandem with JJ McCarthy, including a 13-yard touchdown for his first of the season.

In his first start with the Wolverines, McCarthy has started 9-for-10 throwing the ball but Bell is his favorite target. We will have to see if those two develop a strong connection if McCarthy lands the QB1 role moving forward.
