Michigan quarterback Jake Rudock appeared to have plenty of running room when he elected to tuck the ball and run.

But the senior took a late slide and he was crunched between a pair of Minnesota defenders. He was taken to the locker room following this hit.

The concern was obviously that Rudock’s neck was bent in an awkward fashion, forcing his helmet to come off. Michigan fans might’ve wanted a targeting call, especially after Joe Bolden was ejected against Michigan State a couple weeks ago on a questionable play. Still, no penalty was called.

Wilton Speight came into the game after Rudock’s departure. After Michigan came under fire following its concussion treatment of Shane Morris, the Wolverines will more than likely sideline Rudock for the remainder of this one.
