Scott Van Pelt has made his pick against the spread for Texas vs. Michigan in Week 2.

The defending national champs are an underdog this week at home as they host the Longhorns. Van Pelt picked this game as part of his weekly ‘Winners’ segment on Sports Center.

Van Pelt picked underdogs in all 7 of his chosen games this week, including the Wolverines. Van Pelt is on Michigan +7.5 against Texas:

“Texas, they looked like a wrecking ball last week,” Van Pelt said. “Michigan, they lost a lot from last year’s Team 144. I don’t know if Go Blue is going to lose this game, but I’m saying they won’t lose it by more than 7.5 points.”

ESPN says Van Pelt is 9-2 all-time when picking against Texas.

The line on this game has moved around quite a bit over the last couple weeks. After being as low as Texas -3 over the summer, the line creeped up to as high as Texas -8 earlier this week following Michigan’s disappointing Week 1 showing vs. Fresno State.

As of publication on Friday evening, most books (including DraftKings) have the number down to Michigan -7.

Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon in Ann Arbor.
