Shea Patterson is an NFL-caliber quarterback. Over his three-year college career, two at Ole Miss and one at Michigan, he’s show attributes that would allow him to be successful at the next level.

The big question is whether Patterson will head to the NFL at the end of this season or whether he’ll return to Ann Arbor to finish his collegiate career. Right now, though, the Michigan gunslinger is focused on the team’s Peach Bowl matchup against Florida on Dec. 29. He said he won’t make a decision until after the bowl game.

According to Angelique Chengelis of the Detroit News, Patterson will talk with his family and head coach Jim Harbaugh about his future following the trip to Atlanta.

Patterson had a tremendous season for the Wolverines, throwing for 2,364 yards and 21 touchdowns, while leading the team to a 10-2 record and an 8-1 mark in B1G play. He also accounted for 268 yards and a pair of touchdowns on the ground.

Since Harbaugh arrived in Ann Arbor, Michigan had major issues under center and lacked a playmaker at the position. With Patterson in the role, the Wolverines were able to stretch the field and extend plays unlike the three prior seasons.

Patterson will have one season of eligibility remaining if he chooses to return to Michigan.
