Sherrone Moore is getting used to being the head coach at Michigan, and that means answering questions about how the program will be different with him in charge instead of Jim Harbaugh.

“I’m going to run it my way,” Moore said on “The Pat McAfee Show.” “We’re still going to be tough, we’re still going to be smart, we’re still going to be dependable. We’re going to be relentless in everything we do. Continue the enthusiasm. The energy for me is a big piece of it. I wanna be someone that they kids can rely on, they can be a vessel for, be very open with them. My philosophy in coaching is I coach hard, but I love harder, so they’re going to feel that.”

Moore, 37, was promoted from offensive line coach and offensive coordinator to lead college football’s winningest program and the current national champion. Michigan’s offensive line has been among the best in the country under Moore, and has recently won the Joe Moore Award before the national title, but during the run of 3 straight Big Ten championships.

Moore said the program will be the same as the way it was built, but he’ll be himself, and not Harbaugh.

“Don’t want to be Coach, Coach is his own person, I love him,” Moore said. “Got mad love for him and always will and respect him and have learned so much from him. But I’m going to run the program my way.”
