Sherrone Moore guided Michigan to another gutsy win in the absence of Jim Harbaugh, though the acting head coach kept things PG-rated after the Week 12 victory over Maryland.

Last week, Moore exploded in an invective-laden NSFW shout-out to Harbaugh after the top-10 road win against Penn State. While the win against Maryland also came down to the wire, Moore kept things in check this time around.

He acknowledged the history behind Michigan’s 1,000th all-time victory and dedicated the moment to Harbaugh. While Moore was the coach on the sideline, he previously said he would not take credit for the landmark win that belongs to Harbaugh.

“That’s just this team. Grit, grind, do whatever it takes to win mentality,” said Moore about the final outcome. “Win 1,000 is historic. Coach, that was for you, man!

“Just excited for this team and to be a part of this great fanbase, this university. I promised my mom there’s no swearing this time. Just excited for the players and guys like (Mike Sainristil) made it happen, talk to this guy.”

Moore has now been the acting head coach for 3 of Michigan’s wins this season, but the biggest test of all awaits next weekend. The Wolverines will need to be at the top of their game to get a win against Ohio State in The Game.
