Status of Michigan F Isaiah Livers updated prior to Sweet 16 showdown vs Florida State
Anyone holding out hope that Isaiah Livers might return to action during the NCAA Tournament can finally put that hope aside.
The star forward for the Wolverines was sidelined in the B1G Tournament by a stress fracture in his foot. He missed the loss to Ohio State and has not appeared in March Madness yet for the top-seeded Wolverines.
Unfortunately for Michigan, Tracy Wolfson with CBS reported just before tipoff against Florida State that Livers is indeed out for the rest of the Tournament. Head coach Juwan Howard shared that information with reporters, making the rest of the Tournament a difficult one for the Wolverines.

To his credit, Livers had previously said that it would be close to a miracle if he were able to return to action during the Tournament. Though he did not completely rule out a return at the time, it is now confirmed that he will finish the year on the sideline.
Livers was the second-leading scorer for the Wolverines this season, averaging 13.1 points to go with six rebounds and two assists.
