One of the top prospects out of the state of Michigan has committed to the Wolverines.
Friday evening, four-star defensive end Braiden McGregor announced that he would stay within state boundaries, giving his pledge to Michigan. He becomes the ninth player in the 2020 class to commit to Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines.

Per 247Sports’ composite rankings, McGregor is ranked as the third-best recruit out of the state of Michigan and is the No. 4 overall defensive end. He also cracks the top 100 of the overall prospects, coming in at No. 89.
McGregor becomes the third in-state player to give his pledge to the Wolverines and is currently the highest-rated prospect of the UM 2020 class. At 6-foot-6, 250 pounds, McGregor brings good size to the class along the defensive line.
With McGregor’s commitment, Michigan has jumped to No. 3 in the B1G recruiting rankings for the 2020 class. Overall, the Wolverines sit at No. 14.
