Shea Patterson suffered a cut to the back of his left hand in Michigan’s 38-13 win over Wisconsin Saturday, requiring the quarterback to receive five stitches. But the laceration shouldn’t be a problem.

On Tuesday night, Patterson met with the media to talk about the upcoming rivalry game with Michigan State. He was asked about the injury to his hand and whether or not the stitches have limited him in practice this week.

“Not at all,” Patterson responded.

The cut is to the back of Patterson’s left hand, which is his non-throwing hand. His knuckle scraped the facemask of a Wisconsin defender. The Michigan quarterback didn’t realize he was bleeding until his teammates mentioned it.

After sustaining the injury, Patterson wore a bandage that was covered by a glove to his left hand. He ended the game completing 14-of-21 pass attempts for 124 yards. He also rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.

Michigan enters Saturday’s matchup against Michigan State with a 6-1 mark and a perfect 4-0 in B1G play. Patterson has thrown for 1,311 yards, 10 touchdowns and just three interceptions while completing 68.6 percent of his passes.

Kickoff between the Wolverines and Spartans is set for noon ET.
