Taylor Lewan, a former Michigan offensive lineman, proposed a slightly controversial way to honor the iconic Tom Brady, who officially retired from football a few days ago.

Brady is the greatest quarterback of all time and likely the greatest football player of all time. The ultimate winner, Brady collected 7 Super Bowl rings across his 23-year career; 6 with the Patriots and 1 with the Buccaneers.

In response, Lewan proposed the NFL retire Brady’s No. 12 jersey league-wide following his retirement.

A lot of people vehemently oppose this. It’s worth noting that players such as Terry Bradshaw, Randall Cunningham and Roger Staubach, to name a few, shared Brady’s No. 12.

Is this a good or bad idea?
