'That was a Clint Eastwood win': Here's what Jim Harbaugh said following Michigan's win over Nebraska
Michigan found itself in a dogfight late Saturday night in Lincoln. Despite building a two-possession lead early, Nebraska clawed back into the game, making it a 60-minute contest.
So when Jake Moody knocked down a 39-yard field goal attempt and Michigan’s defense came up with the final stop to leave Memorial Stadium with a win, Jim Harbaugh was ecstatic. The victory bumped the Wolverines up to 6-0 on the season.
Hassan Haskins had a big day, rushing for 123 yards and 2 touchdowns on 21 carries and Blake Corum had 89 yards and a score on 13 carries. Cade McNamara struggled at times, but still threw for 255 yards in the victory.
After the game, Harbaugh had some interesting comments about his team’s gritty win. He talked about how badly Nebraska wanted the victory over a Top 10 team, called the outcome a “Clint Eastwood win,” and spoke on his team’s determination.
Here’s what Harbaugh had to say following the victory:
Harbaugh: “That was a Clint Eastwood win. We’re going to enjoy it.”

Jim Harbaugh on Michigan facing a deficit: “I knew they wouldn’t flinch.”
Seems like it’s really becoming a mantra of this team. Harbaugh said it a few times after the win at Wisconsin last week, too. pic.twitter.com/wu6Q6jcXoK
