Jason Garrett talked about the matchup with Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during Thursday’s press conference. Garrett was hired as the offensive coordinator under New York Giants head coach Joe Judge in January of 2020.

Garrett mentioned that a player for the Buccaneers and former Michigan Wolverine deserves to be on an NFL Mount Rushmore. He even went as far as to say that Brady’s the ‘best player that ever walked’.

You guessed it. Garrett stated that Michigan’s own Tom Brady should be the first person on an NFL Mount Rushmore if they ever decide to make one, per ESPN’s Jason Raanan. Brady played at Michigan from 1996 to 1999.

Brady is definitely in the conversation for the GOAT for most people. Garrett knows firsthand how tough it is to beat the former Patriot and current Buc; Brady owns a 3-0 record in the regular season against Garrett when he was head coach of the Dallas Cowboys.

Now Brady faces Garrett on a team that has taken 2 potential Super Bowls away from him in the Giants. Even though the Giants beat Brady in 2008 and 2012, his regular-season record against them in his career is 5-1.

We’ll see if the Giants can give Brady his second loss against them, and if Garrett can finally get his first win against him.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-3) and New York Giants (3-6) face off on Monday Night Football at 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN.
