Russell Wilson will be unable to play for a little while after injuring and having surgery on the middle finger of his throwing hand. That means Wilson’s active streak of 165 consecutive starts (regular season and playoffs) to begin his career will come to an end.

According to Pro Football Talk, Wilson’s streak was the longest active streak in the NFL. And taking over the top spot as the active leader is none other than the GOAT himself, Tom Brady.

Brady’s current streak is up to 94 consecutive starts between the regular season and playoffs combined. Remarkably, the ageless wonder is also approaching a streak of triple digits.

What makes this streak even more impressive? If Brady hits 100 straight starts, it will be his third separate streak of 100 consecutive starts in his career. No other QB in NFL history has 2 separate streaks of 100+ starts.

As things currently stand, there’s no reason to believe Brady will not continue his streak of starts as Tampa Bay searches for another Super Bowl.
