Tom Brady clarifies future plans in the NFL after Year 20
Tom Brady isn’t ready to call it quits just yet.
Entering his 20th NFL season. Brady has taken a step back in Year 3 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. An early betting favorite to win the NFC, Tampa Bay is currently 3-3 and ranks 21st in total offense.
Brady, 45, might no longer have that same zip found during his near 2-decade run with the New England Patriots, but he isn’t ready to hang up the cleats entering the 2023 offseason. During his weekly press conference, the 7-time Super Bowl winner said that as of now, there are no retirement plans in his future.
"No retirement in my future." 😁

Brady’s regression has been the subject of conversation for quite some time entering the midseason point. Through 6 games, he’s completed 67.2% of his passes for 1,652 yards and 8 touchdowns against 1 interception. The biggest question marks surround his yards per attempt and passer rating.
Currently, the 20-year veteran is averaging 6.7 yards per pass and owns a rating of 95.1, both career-lows since joining the Bucs in 2020. Tampa’s offensive line also has been hampered by injuries since the start of the season, thus leading to more pressures and hurried throws from the quarterback.
Brady joked saying that he doesn’t plan on playing until 70. Then again, would anyone be shocked if he turned 50 and was still slinging passes on Sundays?
